My personal opinion.... All this bickering and banting will just result in higher prices down the road.

Not saying it's wrong or right, but just what i have a feeling is going to happen. And please, i suggest we NOT post problems with private sellers on public forums. If digitalww has a seller rating, maybe you can comment on there. Just my 2 cents. And by the way, I sent my screen to armen like 3 weeks ago, and havn't heard anything since, so i'm in the same boat as you, but i deal with him privately. All in all he's a good guy and things could be worse. And i've been dealing with him since 2001, so it's been a while.

I have to agree. ANY reputable business is should have at least good customer service. If the business has grown as much as it appears (sales from here and ebay) then he shouldn't have a problem hiring some help. If he hired another knowledgable person he could put out more than twice as many units. Studies have proven that 2 people can do more than double the work of 1 person.

And why not in a public forum? So more people would get burned? In the end its up to each person to decide who they do business with, but opinions of others do help. Right now all thats saving digitalww (IMHO) is that he has the market to himself (at least on a cheap indash housings). Also the guy does visit this forum, so he can say if the comments about him are not true, but he does not - because he is busy apparently. Like I said before if he cannot fulfill his orders, he should not be allowing the orders to be placed.

Yeah, I'd appreciate any input people have on any sellers that I'm likely to deal with. How are you supposed to know who to deal with if we refrain from making any comments?

I've not done business with Armen, but i've seen almost the same thread a few times. Everyone always seems to get their product it just might take some time.

I do agree that if nothing else he should take 10 minutes out of the end of his day to respond to emails and such instead of ignoring them as it is horrible business practice. But i can understand to a *degree* if he's as busy as it seems he is. Keeping your customer updated though is very important to help people from getting ****ed off.

If you ignore your clients, who do you have left?

Word of mouth is a VERY powerful motivator for people.. let me tell ya. if i started reading bad things about a seller here, i would take that advice. I know i am not alone in this though, and thus the point. These kinds of threads make me seriously not want to buy from DigitalWW (though, after the offer i got here, i wasnt going to anyway)...

Ok, I have now recieved a PM back from DigitalWW. He has provided me with a tracking number and according to that info the item left the US on the 10th. So it appears that it was just a lack of time to respond to emails, etc. I have yet to recieve the product (it says on the AUS website that it just arrived in Aus so prob tommoz or the next day), but I am hopefull that it'll be fine.

I would like to clear up that I am in no way attacking or anything in regard to DigitalWW but was just concerned. This is why I posted and haven't just gone and cancelled my order (with the bank).

And should the product arrive Friday, that's about 10 business days, a little long, but I can deal with that (esp as its to OZ).

With this all cleared up, could a mod please close this thread. If the conversation needs to be continued a new thread should be made as the original point is finshed (i hope :P).

Thanks all for the responses though!
