    Touchscreen...built in or seperate?

I searched for this and couldn't find any information on it...if there is somewhere someone redirect me please. I was wondering which is better: to buy and LCD like Lilliput with built in touchscreen capability, or to buy a regular LCD and apply the touchscreen kit from digitalww.com. I am not quite sure what the differences would be, other than one would have an overlay on it. Thanks for the help.

I don't know about quality of either way, but you have to ask yourself if you want to bother with applying it yourself. Also as a sidenote carefull with digitalww, according to recent threads the guy has a tendency to fall off a face of the earth for extended periods of time.

Ya know, I recently took apart my Zenarc 700TS (touch screen VGA LCD screen) to get measurements for my case and was intrgued to find that the touchscreen was a seperate unit totally that was just samwiched in the case.....

The touch screen appears to be a piece of glass about 1/8" to 1/4" thick with a connection to the controller board... I was expecting it to be a thin adhesive backed filmed applied to the surface of the LCD unit.....

I know, I didn't answer your question... but had to say it anyway

all touchscreens are simply regular LCD's with a touchkit installed on top of them. It makes much more sense from a manufacturing standpoint to do it this way.
