That looks a lot like a voltage regulator..
Thought I'd share my problems I had with my lilliput 619.
1st I had heat issue's, The screen would shutdown between 20-30mins from being on. To fix Install a 40m fan where the speaker used to be located, Wired the fans power to the main power input for the screen.
2nd Problem was the onboard fuse below, So replaced this with an external 2amp fuse.
3rd Problem was A1244 semiconductor blew, How'd did I know it had blown? Well I'm no technician or electrical engineer but I opened the LCD up looked at the components and could a slight hole/burn mark on the semiconductor. I've circuled in yellow the faulty a1244. Scouse Monkey help me identify the part and I got it shipped to Sydney Aus from mouser.com, Cost was approx $15AUD. The part purchased was a KSA1244 - Y. See the pic below.
Hope this helps any lilli 619'rs out there.

OMG. I couldn't figure out what was wrong after I mounted my screen to my dash. I tryed reseating every cable and checking every solder point, I had nothing. Then I finally came online here (I should have done that first) and I read the tip above. I didn't realize that the width of the ribbon cable on the back of the buttons PCB wasn't as wide as the socket it goes into. Well somehow everytime I plugged the ribbon cable back in it was slightly to the left. After reading the tip I aligned it to the right and voila! Everything powered right up like nothing was wrong. I yelled 'YES!' really loud and everyone in my house came to see what was up in my room, lol.
So the point is, even if you re-seat the cables, see if they have any play left and right as well as in and out. That may be the key to your problems.
Thanks Studmonk3y!

Hey Steve, I bought the same 10.4" monitor you did, but for me it's unusable due to the narrow viewing angles. In order for it to look right you almost have to look up at it or else have the top angled back. In my Trans Am the screen is positioned straight up and down and is about gear shift level so I am looking slightly down at it. From this angle it looks really bad. I'm going to have to send it back and find another screen to use.
BTW, anything other than it's native 800x600 resolution looked really bad also. How is it yours looked good?
I see your car has the top of the screen angled back, so maybe that's why your viewing angles are OK.
This screens View Angle is U/D 75 L/R 100 Degrees
While the one in the post above has an even narrower View Angle U/D 85 L/R 85 Degrees.
Does anyone know of a truly wide angle 10.4"?
Considering that I have to have a LCD with a narrow frame around it and it needs to be 800x600 I think I can officially say I'm screwed.![]()

Here's something funny. This looks like the same Lilliput screen here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/LILLIPUT-10-4-TO...QQcmdZViewItem
BUT, it shows a narrower viewing angle: 45/60(U/D),65/65(L/R)
I wonder if this is the true spec?

Steve, do you still have the box your screen came in? Was it a Model Number: FA1042-NP/C/T?

Hey bro, wow, I do still have the box.Yes, that's the model number for what I have as well. My viewing angles are fine. I don't know if it's just the way the car is built and the way my bezel is or what (it's really just facing straight out), but both driver and passengers can see it perfectly. The angle of the bezel vertically just goes with the natural slope/angle of the dash. Sorry it's not working for you :-\ I use mine at 800x600 for RoadRunner, but while setting up the new computer, I had it running at 1024x768 and it looked perfect.
Are you able to build the bezel to angle the top back without it looking strange or no?
I can see in this pic that your screen is a bit higher and the dash is angled back so you are kind of looking up at it or directly at it. I think this is right at the limit for that angle. You could slide down in the seat and it would still look fine, but if you lean over and look slighlty down it will get screwy looking.
Here is a pic of a TA with a home built, pieced together screen in the dash location. You can see that for it to look factory it can't be leaned back. In comparison to your car, this location causes you to look slightly down at the screen.
The left and right angles are fine as long as the vertical angle is OK, but when it's not, the left and right create an inverse looking image.
The link I put in post #53 shows the viewing angle: 45/60(U/D). Wouldn't this indicate that it is biased to look better more from the bottom angles and less from the top? I don't know if any of these specs are accurate. I suspect they sometimes fudge the truth to make the screens more appealing.
