I damaged my Lilliput

Well guys, it’s official. I’m completely idiot.

I prepared myself for opening my lilliput. I read every post, printed every how to, etc.etc. And what did I do?? I was fooled by an unconnected cable. When I was trying to disconnect the vga flex cable from the lcd panel connector, I didn’t notice that the dam thing was already loose, so when I pulled the connector it broke…

I hot glued it and the screen does work, but with some flickering and some Jurassic park logos (which I haven’t seen before) so I’m afraid that it will fail due to in-car vibration.

Do you know if the little panel with the connector can be bought somewhere? Or will I have to buy the lcd panel??

Any of you ever had this kind of “accident”??

Did you just pull out the little plastic piece that locks the cable in, or did you pull out more than that?

just the white piece and a very tiny black piece of plastic from one off the sides that locks the white one in place.
the rest of the connector including contacts are ok.
