i guess i recall incorrectly. where IS the cheapest place to buy a xenarc these days? i hate spending so much more, but it seems the reliability on the lilliput and starvision are really unpredictable.
The 700TS was listed as 250 NITS when I bought it.

I bought mine on ebay, paid alot too!
I think it was 500.00 delivered. at the time (about nine months ago) that was the average price. I'm not too sure about quality issues, I have been having my calibration go out of whack for seemingly different reasons and am trying their latest drivers now. Is the starvision a poor quality monitor?

I'd really be interested in what LCD module is in it! From what I understand, the old one had a Panasonic and the new one has the same Hatachi as the Lilliput, and the light kit is something totally seperate.
If anybody is socal is up for a drive, I have the new xenarc sitting just behind me until I get enough free tme for an install

don't know if this helps at all since i just have a crappy camera phone to take pics with but these are two images of the new xenarc. Since I do not have my opus yet its not in my car but one is in the dark obviously and the other is the best i could do to simulate the sun(my halogen desklamp). Both pics are of the xenarc at 33/99 brightness. If you can't see the pics go ahead and yell at me because I don't know if im putting them on here right.
kscuts50, where did you buy the xenarc from? XenarcDirect? So far how do you like it? is it visible well enough at day light? How's the quality of the connectors, etc?
I bought my from www.onehitwonders.com. I did a quick search and they seemed to be one of the cheapest at the time with free shipping so I snagged it. Like I said before, its not in my car but with the light shining through my house window....it seems to me that its as visible as any lcd is going to get. As far as the connectors go, I don't know what to say. They have a sturdy feel to them, not cheap feeling if you know what I mean. Once they are connected they fit securely and lock on without wiggling around. Like I stated in my previous post, the pictures I took were at 33/99 brightness so it could easily be boosted probably to the point of blindness. Another thing I like about the xenarc is the way that it looks. Since I don't plan on permanently installing it in my dash, I wanted the lcd to look good and in my opinion the xenarc looks better than the lilliput.Originally Posted by ccblanket
