    simple displays?

    for my first project, i just want to play mp3's - no video or anything else - JUST mp3's......



    now, all i want the display to do is show me the track number (3 digits 000) and track time (4 digits - 00:00)

    i've found these.....

    I'm not brainiac to this stuff, but the LCD in the second auction looked like it was displaying JUST what you wanted. It also clearly says that it has the driver assebled and ready to run and the software is downloadable and free at the link at the bottom... not sure what it will end up costing to purchase but looks like a nice, simple option... I would go DL the software and/or just find out as much as possible about it as you can. Could be a winner. Good luck and keep us posted.

    yeah i thought that too.


    found loads of simple matrix lcd on ebay - all going cheap too....

    just a case of knowing how to link then to the parallel port.....
