Do you mean the screen snaps out or the DVD? If not, i'm curious as to why you didn't mold that in the screen as well...

Stellar installation, very well executed. Awesome job. That's all I have to say.

    =)
There's nothing you can't do, so don't be discouraged just because no one else's done it.

Wow...is there a similar shroud that will work for Xenarc screens?

The LCD snaps in an out, just like it would if it was installed in your headrests. That is the point of using the headrest shroud.

I couldn't do the same with the DVD player, because "the guts" are all mounted from behind, so there is no way to snap it in and snap it out. I thought about fabricating some metal rails like in a PC to slide it into, but that was just way too much work, and I figured it out look like crap. I'm not too worried about someone stealing an IDE DVD anyways.. If I can yank the LCD when I park, it should ward off most theives..

Very nice install.. Very clean.. Are you planning on painting the LDC case the same silver color as the dash?

I thought about about it.. It requires opening the LCD, which I'm a little uncomfortable with. Also, the LCD has a touchscreen, which I heard they glued the edges to the front of the bezel. So I would also need to heat up the glue and peel the touchscreen off. I feel even less comfortable with that, and would probably end up breaking it or something..

So I probably won't end up doing that. Besides, I think it adds a little color and really sets it off with it being black.
