The M10000 also provides 12V, just use a $1 regulator called a 7805 from Radio Shack. It's super simple, it has three pins. The middle is the ground, one is 12V in, and one is 5V out.

well this is whats going on i am running a epia m1000 that only puts out3.3v for the screen signal and my datalux screen needs 5v to detect a signal, now this is where im stuck my datalux is the captive touch model and it has a few different wires and boards then does the resistive touch model, so i have searchd for and upgrade to make the datalux 5v on the captive touch and i cant find one,just for resistive, and its a little different. i have read that you can use a vga booster but i cant find anyone that has actually used one of these to boost the sigal to make the screen turn on. I would much rather pay 50$ for that if i knew it worked, then start cutting wires. So i was wondering if anyone out there knew how to upgrade the captive touch model or if anyone knows if the vga booster will work? any information will help. I thank you very much.......its been a long journey.....

No idea where you would connect it but my guess is into one of those http://www.bbdsoft.com/video.html so to basically jump the voltage from the VGA out on the mobo to the actual controller on the screen. it goes in between but not sure which pin.
ok thanks im going to go down and pick up the regulater now all i can hope for is, for someone to know where abouts it goes, well i kinda have an idea where it goes but if someone out there knows excatly where it should go and they could give me some info that would be great and highly appreciated..
it goes either on the hsync or vsync or both. though i am not sure if you can kill the controller if you mess that up.
or similar should do the trick safely, though it's more clutter in the way.
I'm looking at a similar problem with an Epia M10000 and a Dr-Berghaus panel. I tlooks like the berghaus screen needs 5v sync too, as If I try to boot with the TFT on, it fails. Shows the Bios screen, then goes black and nothing. If I boot with a standard monitor, and swap them, it displays fine until I reboot.
I'm in touch with Daimond point about this issue, and they are waiting for a reply from Kontron Germany regarding the problems I've been having.

That's a solution to the problem, but not with the hardware I have, but should work for Burns-1.
Mine is a single board for everything except to inverter. there isn't really any wires to go into the add the extra voltage.
