lilliput buttons....

well, first post! i have a lilliput touch screen on the way for my car... i know i'll have to trim the bezel, removing the buttons. is there anyway to extend the cable the butttons are attached to? i have a perfect relocation spot. will provide pics later on, have to leave now.

yes, desolder, then solder in longer cables, i would give cat5 a try.

now it'll just be a matter of leaving enough plastic to hold the buttons... or i could fab something at work. i'll defianately change the button illumination to red also, to match the rest of the oem switches/gauges,etc.

Just did this. Only extended the on/off and the Infrared. Can control all settings with the remote. Extended the power lead, just in case. Pics located at http://68.77.191.217/car_computer_Version_3.htm
