Armen has a 7" VGA screen for $230 here, however it is NOT a touchscreen. A touchscreen will set you back an extra $100 or so.
I have a6.4" VGA LCD Kit from earthcomputer. It's true VGA w/ onboard controller. The picture quiality is that of a good flat-panel LCD computer monitor many people use for desktops. But here's my problem
I think it may have died. I shorted out the backlight inverter a while back. I know for a fact because the silicon board was litterally burnt. So I bought a new one. It is most likely the controller that has gone bad. A new conrtoller is $200 - $250. I was thinking of selling the working parts on ebay, or here and just buying a lilliput LCD. Is it possible to find a lilliput at this price (~$250US Dollars)? and is it "real vga" or is there a composition coversion that happens?

how well would text come out on that Armen screen?
Native resolution of 800x480, so quite well really.
This isn't VGA->Composite video is it? "True" VGA (sorry I don't know how to explain it), right?Originally Posted by pip

Lilliput 7" VGA Touchscreen
Check it out?!
The backlight inverter works so I would sell that as well. If I decide to sell it for $250.Originally Posted by Motorcity
Can anyone explain why these "kits" from earthcomputer are 5x more than the lilliput and Arman? The kit I have display is crystal clear. Even 4pt text looks tack sharp. Is this what I'd expect with a Lilliput or Arman?Originally Posted by Pudge
