man you use capitals in very WEIRD situations WHEN theres no need. lol
As for your problem, have you tried the screen on another PC? That would either confirm it is the touchscreen or the PC your using it on.

Am just using WIN XP and the driver software that came along.. fresh install of xp to make sure no other software is conflicting... but still the touch screen works for 2 or 3 mts and stops respponding. Now when i unplug the scren ( not the power plug ) and replug it ( the male - female plug ) it start working for 2 or 3 mts and again stops responding.

do you have any updates installed on XP ? and what about other USB devices ? usb / serial convertors ? think anything that uses com ports, do some basic troubleshooting, ie when the touchscreen pauses, do a ctrl-alt-del and then go to task manager and see what process / application has hung / is not responding / is using lots of resources this will help figure it out, I have found too many times the hardware is blamed unnecessarily for a simple software issue, the fact it comes to life when plug / unplug performed makes me think its maybe a usb driver / power issue.

If the touchscreen USB cable plugged directly into the PC, or are you using a USB extension cable? If you are using a USB extension cable, is it passive or active? Perhaps the USB data/electrical timing is coming out of sync after a few minutes.

Try unplugging and re-plugging in the USB device AFTER it hangs, post results...

Well i feel the same that is is a software related issue but am not able to figure out which one as this is the only one that has been attached to the pc. ( i mean no gps, blueetooth or any com or serial port in use as of now ). MOre over i did try ur suggestion of ALT CONT DEL but it give no pop ups of not responding software in the appli. presently working with a software that i downloaded from http://www.egalax.com.tw/Download.htm . DO u have any better version that i can try with..

Do you have Tourette's? Maybe it's just trying to avoid all the haphazard screaming.
