    Lilliput Power Source

I know this has been talked about, but I couldn't find any conclusive answers... Basically I want to stop using the "egg" regulatar that came with my lilli and hook up the lilli to my power supply.. This can be easily done, but I run a PW120/ITPS.. I calculated my watts.. M10000, 6 USB, 1 2.5 HD, 1 Slim DVD... and it came to around 50 wats max.. It will be pushing it to power my lilli from the 12V rail right? Even though I know I am mostly maxing out the 5V rail and not using the 12V for anything... If this is a bad idea, would it be better to hook to the direct ITPS output, before the PW120? Either way the lilli will prolly only receive an average of 11.5V, will this make my screen significantly dimmer?

I know the best is to maybe use the egg and hook direct to ACC line or Battery/relay or create my own regulator... I don't really want to create a regulator and/or use the egg.. I also need the lilli to come on with the computer even when the car is off... I plug in an AC-DC converter from the house when I am doing maintaince... Could either of my top solutions work?

Far as i know the lilli asks for 10 or 19 watts right?

The ITPS doesnt like too many amps.. i think 6 or so was its max. (the lilli is 1.5 i believe)

Ive just been hooking all of my peripherals up to my 90w opus until one doesnt work. I came across a 6v 4amp 7port usb hub.. cant say i bothered plugging that one in. Sounds like a bit much, so i just used the casetronic 60w psu that came with my case that i discarded as a voltage regulator (from accessory line) for all kinds of 5v devices in my trunk.

According to mp3car it uses 9W @ 12V = 750mA... I also read somewhere else that it really only uses 6W @ 12V = 500mA.. Right now I am pulling around 50 watts from my PW120/ITPS.. So I could prolly just make it.. It doesn't make a difference if I hook it up on the 12V rail of the PW120 or before the PW120 on the output of the ITPS right? Either way its pulling from the ITPS and the ITPS is the limiting factor, right?

How about using opamps as voltage followers? Things like OPA541 can output 10A.

You supply the opamp with battery (0 & 14V).
The In-minus is connected to the output (follower config).
The In-plus is the voltage from power supply (5V or 12V).
