any velcro like product that would be able to hold up an lcd?

right now im looking for some type of product that will support a lcd fixed to a portion of my dash
i want it to be removable so i can store it in the glovebox when parking though

initial thought is of course velcro but do they make velcro that would be strong enough?

lcd is a lilliput; weighs 1lb 5 oz

I used to have velcro holding my sub box in my trunk, and with the way I drive I was in awe of how well it held, almost like it was molecularly bonden

Another option would be to use clasp buttons, glue one part on the back of the screen and the other part on the dash.

Man forget velcro....get this stuff called Dual Lock. It will hold an LCD no prob.

The velcro itself should do well at holding a 1lb monitor in place. The problem is finding velcro that has strong enough adhesive. I'd have to search, but I know there are some more 'industrial' strength velcros with good adhesive. By good, I mean also not have problems with heat!

Like i said velcro is useless in comparison to Dual Lock. Once you get some you will never go back.

I mounted my whole carpc with dual lock in the glove box.

the dual lock thing is awesome, velcro is a joke in comparison, this stuff came with my roadangel and its solid as rock.

Yea we had a huge roll at work and I snagged some.

I would never get velcro ever again. I bet this stuff could hold a 17" flat panel monitor.

And plus this stuff doesn't wear out like velcro. Think of it like velcro on steroids

I served on a submarine for a while and we used that stuff to hold nearly everything in place. It's wicked strong. One of my guys actually trashed a laptop that was attached to a desk with it when he pulled up on just one corner to get it off. It flexed the thing until something shorted out inside.
