Penguin already defeated that security on the batmobile.
i really feel you are retarded. Go rent the movie, penguin dies at the end. he dies, along with the secret batmobile security hack. lets also not forget that this is mexico, and these people that are breaking into cars probably dont have the technology, or tenacity to bypass batman's security system. if they were motivated, and tenacious, they would clearly not be living in mexico.

Batman has been around a lot longer than the 80s/90s. I'm only 24 and know that. The Batmobile (I think) has been taken on more than one occasion. I think someone even took control of it while Batman was in it... Some security!

again.. along comes the basic stamp and a pair of rf modules for it..
I use the BS2 to send a serial string every 30 sec to my home automation system.. "CARA0001" where the digits are the status of 4 IO pins..
dome light, battery, alarm status and one other. when the house alarm is armed and the car door is opened or car alarm is tripped it sends the ascii string to the controller.. lights up the house and calls the police..
on top of that theres a tracker that i have in the vehicle as well.. so if the do actually get out of the driveway.. i go hunting ...
nothing like an AR15 for security.. while it likes to be fed.. it's definately less costly than a dog..
ok so maybe a bit overboard... but hey... it works..

    Hey

Joburg isnt that bad, those flame thrower devices are more urban legend than anything else and yes carjacking is a violent and terrible crime but speaking from a "residents" point of view I dont think its any worse than anywhere else in the world, if one looks at statistics that is, and it is getting better in leaps and bounds

Ultimate crap of an alaram. If you want something like this (ie 2 way paging) get a prestige (audiovox) 996a or a viper (DEI) (don't remember the model number). http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/s...2870&langId=-1

Compustar were good a while ago, now their service is horrible, no dealer/installer wants to work with them and the alarm itself is faulty a lot of times. And if you drop the remote most likely it won't work anymore. All of this comes from experience my own and customers.

    I Have A Rover Cabriolet

And mine will have a monitor in it, the boot however, due to it being a cabriolet cannot be accessed opening the boot, as the back seats dont have a flippy thing. What a great security feature.

I am hoping that if I want to leave stuff in there, that the boot will be the safest place. It is alarmed, and it does occasionally go off with cars going past.

The way I see it, if they don't nick it, they'll damage the hell out of your car in the process. Because of this I never lock the glovebox (glove compartment stateside).

Thing is, we all wanna put this stuff in our cars, its a risk that it could be stolen, I reckon a GPRS card, a pay as you go sim card and a natty little program that uses the GPS to send out an I am here signal on every boot will
be our best bet to keep our gear our own.

I know of someone that went looking for retribution after his gear was nicked in Essex, UK, and when the theif was found, he lost a digit for his crimes. If people wanna steal stuff, then lets up the anti.

Touch my stuff, and I touch you... seems fair to me.
