    Motorised mechanism..

    Hello,

Can anyone tell me a model number for this, or something similar to it?

I want to mount my Lilliput in one of these, so I can mount it under the dash tray in my IS200.

    Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions, and no, I don't mean 'Search' suggestions.

What's the point in that? It would like hit and get stuck if you tried to fit it into your dash. Why doesn't it move all the way out then flip up?

I think you're confused. It's supposed to be mounted ON TOP of a dash, not in a dash like a regular DIN radio. That's why it's like that.

Exactly... the factory Satnav sits on top on the dash in the IS, but is replaced with a compartment when not present. My plan is to mount a motorised mechanism such as this one inside the comparment, which will then open the tray lid to expose the lilliput when in use. Will give it a factory/bling look, and be secure and out of sight when not in use for opportunist thieves.

I had considered getting hold of a factory satnav housing, but its ridiculously expensive. I am hoping this is a more 'cost effective' solution. If not, its back to the facotry housing, and mount the lilliput in that instead.

Yes is can....I just ordered the screen listed above myself. If you look at the link it says that it is a combination of two other products. One is the screen, the other is an in-dash kit for the lilliputs he sells for $100....

Here is the address for the kit:
