Hi Chargin, I just got in upacked but not even installed but got something for you.

    / ..*..................* \
    / ......................*. \

That's the way it looks Chargin. Looking at a trapezoid, the THIRD PIN and the Last PIN on the top, And the SECOND to the Last pin on the bottom row.

The number of pins are unfortunately not accurate but you the the idea.

I wish you good luck Chargin, I'm off to test my monitor now. I hop you can remedy your problem.

Euro, thanks for that, 3 pins?? hmm looks tricky, you are sure on that?
I just checked the bottom pin on your pic, the one that is the 2nd pin in from the edge, this has continuity to the pin immediately to the left of the one I pointed out in my picture, not the pin I asked about, can you double check this?
Maybe even recheck the other 2, I was only expecting there to be one connection? The earths have many but this should have been only one. Thanks for taking the time, hope yours is more reliable huh...

And the 3rd one in from the left seems to be an earth so u might have mixed that one up?? But!! the one on the very end, top right, is it, I moved it to get the probe on it and it broke off from the solder joint, gotta be it, not 100% yet but it must be
    Thanks mate!!

What was the solution to your problem, I have an 8" Lilli that seems to be having the same problem.

I've just found the problem, looks like one of the pins on the trapezoid shaped connector has broken off.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement cable? Other than Lilliput of course!!

I was just getting this ready to go into my MG, but that will have to wait now

It looks like you've been sent the wrong cable loom...

It seems that some of the firms selling these Lilli's from the UK are importing them without their original packaging to avoid paying the import duty, they must be claiming they are warranty repairs or something. Then they re-package them but sometimes they put the wrong bits with the screen. They often aren't in the correct box either, they just have a sticker saying what model it is...
I discovered this after talking to a girl who buklk imports them into UK.

After they agreed to rectify my problem without cost to me I simply sent the seller a paypal money request for the cost of my return postage and sent the whole lot back with a note saying why it had been returned. There was no problems other than the inevitable delay, she even sent me my postage costs back in cash with the correct goods. So I made a small profit ;-) . And we both came out with +ve feedback.

    John
