    Lilliput and xp embedded

I've been playing around with xp embedded the past couple of days, trying to get the lilliput touchscreen to work (it works perfectly in xp pro so I know the screen isnt defective)... I've componentized all the drivers for it and they build into the runtime image without any errors, device manager sees it fine... but when I install the software, it wont see the device, and the touchscreen doesnt actually work....

anyone get it working with xp embedded?

really stupid question - i downloaded the xp embedded, and i am not sure how i can build and modify it. i know [i think] i need the tools suite...but that's 995$, and uh...i don't see how that will benefit me. I am very sure I am missing something [as in forgetting]. how did you create your build?

plus, i think you'd be really lucky if you had gork or kai445 [or something like that] look at this thread

there is an abundance of information about xp embedded thruoght microsofts website.. they have how-tos to do just about everything, and how to fix a majority of errors that you might get...

basically what you have to do (quick run thru):
    1) use tap.exe or ta.exe to get a hardware snapshot of the computer
    2) import the .pmq file into the target designer (which will automatically put in a majority of the software/hardware components you will need)
    3) do a dependency check and fix all of those & remove unwanted/unneeded components
4)change any of the settings that you would need to change
    5) build the run-time image
    6) deploy it

took me saturday of last weekend to get the jist of it, and now im changing and deploying the image from my workstation to the jeep-puter in about 15-20 minutes (depends if it has my full attention)

what im stuck on right now is getting the touchscreen to work tho , everything else is working great (so far)

Is the embedded recognizing the USB 2.0??? Perhaps if the USB is ignored, the touchscreen will be malfed
