Since the lilli power on when you plug in power, putting it into a molex from the opus would work. Here's why: when you turn the computer off, the screen's power gets cut, and the next time you turn it on, the lilli thinks that it has just gotten power and it powers on.

    How to:
Figure out which wire is the + and which is the - in the cig adapter. Buy a molex from somewhere and plug the + into the yellow, and the - into either black. Before, check if yellow is the + and black is the - (i'm 98% sure).

Here is a little further help, the + (hot) wire in a cig adapter is always the wire that connects to the middle part of the cig adapter. If that makes any sense.

Edit: Oh yea, I got the Xenarc. It's on it's way here right now. Should have it on Friday!

I never said splice up the actual cig plug. I said cut the wires going from the lilli cig adapter.

I would just cut off the cig plug, you won't need it. If you do cut it off, just leave a couple inches in case you decide to splice it back on.

This mod was designed to 1) keep you cig lighter working 2) auto-on for lilliput.

It would look worse if you have a cable from your monitor running into the cigaret adapter (if you splice off the ends of the cig. lighter base). Now splitting off the end of the adapter and measuring which wire is + and which is - is the best way. It makes auto on/off and keeps you cig lighter working for other things like cigarets or cell phones

I have a Lilliput 7" LCD Display. I think it is a great unit but.... Expect to have a few problems. I had a loose connection somewhere along VIDEO/USB cable that I needed to resouder. I had to replace all factory screws with my own. Video quality is great and so is the price. Is it worth all the headache? You decide... =)

I think you took me the wrong way. I was saying to cut the cig adapter part of the Lilli Egg off. Not the one built into your car.

Exactly But make sure to check the polarity. You wouldn't want to destory a $300 screen, would you?
