yea i remeber now

and its still not working,, its gotta be some minor fakkin detail with my desktop pc.. and honestly its getting quit annoying as hell

they both are dhcp enabled and both on different subnet and gateways,,,, but that shouldnt change the fact that when i go into computers near me on my dekstop pc,,, that ITSELF wont even show up......

im at a loss here damnit

still nothing,, i did try this,,, if you leave it blank itll search everything,, and nothing comes up

edit: and yes i did try searching for the IP directly...8-(

ok, what I would do next is easy.
1 reboot
2 Unshare the folder, turn off file and printer sharing.
3 reboot
4 try to share the folder, if it asks you the "are you sure" questions (that is what you want) do all the correct answers to share the folder. If it does not ask you the settings have been altered and a lot more research has to be done

as did this then went back into my pc and started to share c, nothing,, went to network and dialup connections,, LAN properties,, enabled file and printer sharing,,,,, nohting,, didnt ask me anything,, reboot,,, nothing under my network.. so now i enabled damn near every protocol client,, and service,, rebooting now and lets see what happens

lol, and when you get back, do you have Norton Internet Security on the computer? I know you have said that it was not running but do you have it on the computer? or any other firewalls installed for that measure?

Can you tell me what operating system you are useing?
I ll help I just need more info on your specs.
