Funny, with my NVidia card and Lilliput all I had to do was add a custom resolution of 800x480 and the drivers did the rest...it's nice and Windows native now.![]()
Well...
First set yor screen to 800x600, and then make the screen cut the image (instead of stretching it). Then you make the screen display only the upper part of the screen via the "vert pos" (vertical possition) option.
(Preferably you place the start menu on the upper side of the desktop).
Now youve got a bit of the desktop not shown on the screen, but w/e. You don't miss it, do you? Just dont place any icons there. =P
If your runnig MediaCar you just set the mediacar resolution to 800x480 and your done.
If your running Frodoplayer its a bit more difficult. Frodoplayer itself will work fine, but the fullscreen option cant be set to use the upper 800x480 pixels. It autopmaticly uses the whole screen, even if FrodoPlayer doesnt. Anyone have any ideas of fixing this? I've thougt about if it could be fixed with a plugin in wmp or anything, but ive not got the skills to fix that.
Have never tried any of the other software found here, so cant tell you anything abut it...
Touchscreens:
In the touchscreen utility you can make the touch panel active with only the shown part of the diplay via the "split screen" option, and then you just adjust the ts to the 800x480 resolution. Then you have to re-calibrate the ts, since the resolution change of some reason screws the x and y axis up. (Can get you ppl some screenshots if you want it)

why would you want 800x480 anyways?
throw a moon
heuvos vin chevos
that's the res of the 7" screens
800x480 is the native resolution of both the Lilliput and Xenarc LCD panels. Anything else (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, etc.) is running a ratio the LCD isn't designed for. Running it at 800x480 allows it to show the image as it was meant to be displayed, with no stetching or scaling. Better quality that way.Originally Posted by PaCMaYNE

and positioning.
Open frodoplayer.ini
Find this and set it to true.

USE_ADVANCED_SCREEN_SETTINGS=TRUE
then at the bottom: (This is in pixels)

ADV_LEFT=0

hmmmm, I was wondering why there wasn't an option to do this, I guess I never tried out that option. If it works for me, this will make me very happyOriginally Posted by Maņana
hmmm, all this did was move the screen up (i guess i did try that option after all), leaving me with black space on the bottom equal to what I cut off on the top. I would really like to be able to have a virtual desktop type thing, but I think for that to work, my video card would still have to be able to output 800x480, right?
