    rca to s-video.....?

    is there such a thing as an RCA [yellow plug] to s-video adapter?

    i want to use my laptop [with s-video] to transfer stuff from camcorder/ps2 etc....

    thx....

    [need quickish reply before i go out and buy a tv-in card for my pc instead, lol]

    wait you said transfer FROM camcorder? are you sure the svid on the laptop is input? all ive ever seen is output.

    correct. same. i have dealt with several laptop brands and have only seen output video, rarely input on laptops. only real exceptions are some of the sony laptops and some Apples.

    Yup - Laptop S-video is an OUTPUT ie from laptop to TV. Very much doubt it is an input.

    Best way to do it is to look for a Dazzle USB adapter, whereby it takes rca/s-video as an input and feeds it into usb.

    You're gonna need a usb adapter of sorts. A cheap USB TV tuner should do the trick. Get video in and a TV tuner at the same time.

    yup - cost me 12 to find out it's only an output :'( bu99er!!!

    ah well, i got a s-video [female] to composite [male] adapter and an s-video/2phono to s-video/3.5mm stereo jack for sale....lol
