I took my new Lilliput out of its case to mount it in a custom bracket for my Impreza, reconnected everything, and figured I'd power it up just to make sure it was still working ... it wasn't. The whole thing just seems completely dead. To eliminate the obvious, I tested the transformer output with a multimiter... works fine. Everything on the board looks perfect.. nothing burnt / blown / busted / loose. I'd hate to have to buy another one, since I'm sure whatever problem I'm having is fixable. Help!!
Well see here's the thing... it worked fine before I took it apart (in the interest of fairness) .. and I already cut the case to take out the VGA cable, so I think they'd notice that.
The same thing just finsihed happening to me, the blue LEDS on the button board flast quickly when the power is applied, any ideas would be great, tested each connector nothing, I did un solder the IR eye and add wire to extend it
the ribbon cable that connects the buttons to the screen has 8 pins/leads yet the connector on the controllerboard has 9 pins. Sometimes when you seat the cable you may be one pin off or half way inbetween. Make sure you push the cable all the way to the left(from what i recall) before pushing down on the side tabs to hold the cable in place... do a search and youll find some pics.... Good Luck

Yeah I figured that one out on my own. Looking at the button board from the back with the IR receiver on the top, the ribbon cable needs to be all the way to the left. I had that same problem before my screen blew completely...
I had that problem also, now the screen turns on but no picture gonna have to assume it is the other ribbon cable, will play with it in the morn as it is now to dark to play around with it
