10.4" SVGA (800x600) touch LCD $10

I've got my fingers crossed. I couldn't find anything in my searching but I'm still learning all about the wonders of LCDs and controllers.

I'm tempted to pick one up myself in case someone (probably not me!) can work it out. In the meantime I'm looking on eBay for 10.4" screens that I can get a controller for for less than an arm and a leg.

I actually have an old laptop that's basically a door stop which has a (not very bright) 10.4" lcd in it. I'm going to take it apart tonight and see if I can work out what controller I would need for it.

I also have a 15" lcd with controller board (it's a big board) with touch screen controller built in. Far too big for my car unfortunately!

It's not for sale right now as I may want to use it but I decide not to, I might well put it up for sale here or on eBay. The touch screen piece I've already used (that's originally why I purchased it - the lcd was supposed to be broken but worked just fine for me...) to replace the one on another screen that broken in transit. It comes in a damn ugly industrial metal case.

I decided to buy one in case we can work it out...

Here's some pics. One of the possibly built in double back light inverter (one per edge) and one of the two connectors (one 14 pin, one 15 pin).
