VFD Color / Glare filter

Has anyone here had any luck finding glare filters for their VFD's? I have a 160x32 pixel VFD and am looking for a filter that is atleast 5.25"x1.5". I know there must be something out there somewhere. It would be best if it is also tinted blue. However, I can add tinting myself by adding a blue studio gel between the filter and vfd.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

a)
piece of frosted glass frosting side out - and a blue gel behind
glazer probably give you a chunk that size.
worst case use that glass etch from a craft store

or
b) sand a hatch pattern in a gel with 1000 grit automotive paper

experiment!
