Oh, another thing... would it be possible to get a screen with 1 A/V input and a DVD player with A/V input AND A/V output and then plug the navigation unit into the DVD player? Thanks again![]()
Hello all,
I was wondering if it would be possible to use this Clarion screen (http://www.clarion.com/usa/product/i...roduct=VMA7194) with this Kenwood navigation (http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2627) and this Kenwood DVD player (http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2637) ?
Thanks for any help!![]()

As for your first post, yes, I believe all of that would be compatable. As far as I can tell, everything is using standard A/V jacks. But, to be honest, you are spending an incredible amount of money. The DVD navigation includes a touchscreen, and so does the DVD player, you dont need both. The DVD navigation already plays DVD's. Why do you need another DVD player? Furthermore, for the price of the DVD navigation, you could easily build computer, buy a touch screen. Buy a TFT LCD, and a headrest mount, and have quite a bit of pocket change left over. DigitalWW has everything you need for a headrest mount, and considerably cheaper than the Clarion screen. Hell, a USB GPS is very inexpensive when compared to that navigation system.

Thanks for the reply! Firstly, I wasn't sure if I could play DVD's and Mp3's from the DVD navigation... do you know if it's possible?
If this is the case, I'd simply purchase a single input addvision 7" lcd (aka farenheit 7000 $179) and hook the DVD navigation ($650) to that.
As for the carputer, I've been reading quite a few posts and that's just too much stuff for me. I'd like to keep it super simple. Also, I like the features of the Kenwood navigation.![]()
the screen is horrible. I got the clarion vrx925vd in dash multimeida center, and i currently got my carputer hooked up to it and since it only accepts composite in it looks totally horrible. this is just a short time fix until i get my lilliput fixed. It will work but the picture quality wont be all its cracked up to be...and it almost impossible to read text if the font is not super huge
Kenwood Navigaton for $650? Where, and who do I have to murder to get it for that price? MSRP is $1500Originally Posted by krazE

This stereo shop in Texas has it, brand new w/ warranty not refurbished. 1-800-947-2049Originally Posted by BiohazrD
I was $18 bucks off on the price, but close enough.
BTW, the DVD navigation cannot play DVDrom or Mp3's.
Netboy, the reason it looks like crap is because you have a computer connected to it. A navigation unit and dvd player will work excellent with any 1440 x 234 resolution screen.
Thanks for the input everyone.
Ok, that just means you are upto nearly $2500 for something a $1000 CarPC could do. Hell, for $2500, i would just buy DriveSoft.
