Lilliput auto-power on bungle! pls help!

I made a post a while ago explaining how the lilli auto-on mod by Coyote worked for me but none of the other buttons could be pressed. It turned out there was some sort of loose connection somewhere that was the prob to that and it would intermittently work.
I finally opened up the lilli to fix the problem and I found that the contact holding in a surface mount resistor had come off the board!! There was no tracks to trace so I was forced to remove the resistor and connect my mod without it. The screen still turns on, but none of the buttons work at all and the brightness on the screen is so low that it makes it hard to read even during night time.

My question is, is there a replacement resister for a "103" surface mount resister found on the board? There seems to be many of thes "103" resistors on the board but I dont want to remove any of the others without knowing what its there for first, perhaps one of them is redundant or is there to be used for a function that I dont need? (such as Video 1 or Video 2 or the speaker?). I would prefer to be able to replace the resister with a normal sized one though.

These tiny resistors are very difficult to solder. 103 is 10Kohms. If you were extremely dextrous you could get a normal 1/8 watt resistor, bend little hooks onto the leads and solder it in.

Thanks choyak I am planning on getting the normal sized resistor and soldering it onto the board using thin flexible wires, so I dont run the risk of breaking off anymore solder point on the board. Unfortunately im not half as dextrous enough to do what you mentioned :P

    Thanks again.

lol, I like that quote antimatter
I was going to use that as a last resort, and only when I was sure I was removing a resistor that wasn't needed/used or redundant.
Thankfully, it hasn't come to that
