Posts on the Epia Forum mentioned you need to update the drivers.
Perhaps theres a newer version for the S3 lying around viaarena.com?
i just updated my m1000 with the new bios from epia site,and now she wont boot at all,,poop on a stick

i reset the bios and everything works fine, i installed the new dirvers for the video, but still no 800X480

I've just tried flashing with the ISO file from earlier in the thread and AWFLASH says that the BIOS file doesn't match my hardware number?!?!?!
It is definately a EPIA-V8000, it says so on the board, and that V8K_480.bin file is definately the correct file so whats going on...?
I'm stuck now :-(

This all crashing is just caused by fact new BIOS is in default set to output in "LCD" mode and only few CRTs handle it correctly. What you have to do is connect a flat panel and change that setting to "CRT". Everything is fine after reboot and 1.16 is most stable BIOS I have ever had on my EpiaM.Originally Posted by tbird2340
