Newbie Question,
I've got my lilliput 7" in the dash. Its great.. A little too small for my
kid to see from the back seat though. I was thinking of putting in
an overhead for the back seat. Im thinking maybe from 7" to 10", It
doesnt need to be big. Any suggestions on screens? I also have no
idea how this would be connected to my system. I'm thinking video
out from my computer?
Thanks for any help.

No he doesn't need that. Biglips31, you ca use an external vga hub, or ab Y divider, if you only need to add one. But, if you use the screen in the back only for the movies, you can connect it through the video output of the Epia.
Hey Guys,
I dont have an extra PCI slot, its filled with a Wintv Card.
Cris, yes the display is primarily for use with movies however when in the down position I would like to have it display whatever is on the front display. Just in case I have a load of people in the car wanting to see pictures, gps or radio station feedback.
If I use an external vga hub or splitter to one monitor what can I use. I searched ebay for flip down monitors and there alot but none with a vga input. Any ideas??
Thanks
Hey, I just found this by doing ahttp://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...products_id=48
Only problem is thats way too expensive for me.. Cris, what do you mean by primary use for dvd?? Will it still display entire desktop on video out? I have never used this before.
Thanks

I just added a second touchscreen to the headrest for my daughter. I used a VGA splitter ($15), there's no reduction in quality and she can operate the pc without buggin' me. Works great although both screens show the same thing.
I may throw a mobile dvd player under the passenger seat so she can watch dvd independent of the computer.

Can you use both the VGA and TV out simultaneously? I remember trying that and having probs with the epia M board.Originally Posted by Cris
I said primarily, becouse, the display of the desktop is not very clear. Yes it will display what is on the front screen, but the image isn't clear at all, but when you see movies, the image is O.K.Originally Posted by biglips31
Unfortunatlly that's the only VGA flip down monitor I know of. Be carrefull, that isn't touch screen. The cheapest way would be if you mount a normal screen in the headrest. For 400$ you could even mount 2 touch screens in the headrests. Personally, I think it's more elegant this way...
I don't think you should have any issues. I've never tried on an M board, but I've seen plnty of installs that used the video out on an M board succesfully. There could be image problems, but they can easilly be solved if you play with the soft a little.Originally Posted by Lattice
