Nope sorry m8, those chips are support for the line drivers (horizontal and vertical before feeding them to the laptop), you're still gonna need a controller!!
ok, now I know LCD panels need a controller and on laptops thats normally built into the main board but I took apart this toshiba tecra 500CDT and on the panel where the gold paper thin connector comes out of the side PCB it pluges into a much larger PCB that uses a smaller connector with 12 wires ( plus the chassis ground ) that connects to the main board. Im hoping thats a controller so I can use this screen and wire on a VGA ( or DVI if that is what it is ) connecton. heres some pictures.
Also the connecter with the 12 wires is a 20pin connecter ( with only 12 spots being used ) and ive seen it might be a system call LVDS but i dunno.
ok so it Is LVDS from what I can tell, Plus Ive seen there are mini itx mobos that can connect lvds but all the info is scketchy at best.
