Any 7" VGA and Composite touchscreen monitors with trigger for reverse camera?

I spent some time searching and didn't find anything along the lines of Xenarc or Lilliput having a built in trigger to switch inputs for a reverse camera. Has any one come accross any. I've seen some composite screens that have this feature, but nothing with VGA/touchscreen. I was playing around with a Lexus GX470 last weekend that had this feature and I thought it was very cool.

I'm not sure of the details, but you can use for carputer to do it instead of the screen.

I've read a little bit about using some of Frodos great applications to accomplish this via software using a net cam. The net cam is a little bit of a problem for me because I'll be mounting this on the tailgate/back of a pickup truck.

@egeekial: The most common backup maneuver is right after you start the car. For most people, boot times are slow enough that by the time the pc is ready to play, they will already be done driving backwards. That's why people are looking for a direct hardware approach.

To answer the OPs question, there aren't any built-in triggers to do what you want. So far, I haven't seen any mods to do the trick either. You could build something that counts pulses on the video input button but without some sort of feedback mechanism, it would likely get out of sync -- and thus be useless. Perhaps somebody will hack around their Lilliput with a scope and fine a suitable point to attack this mod.

Get one of those VGA boxes that will let you switch modes.

That would not cut it, it does not take VGA.

Not sure if it will work either. I just ordered it, but, like the screen, it's not here yet. They said it would work fine...
How many VGA cameras do you know?

I'm wondering if maybe you could use a shutdown controller... the "remote" input could be hooked up the the reverse lights or something similar and the atx-output hooked up to the "input" button of your screen. But I'm not sure if the "input" button accepts the same voltage as an atx pulse, or even if the shutdown controller delivers voltage or if it just shorts the 2 pins that are connected to it...

Also, I guess it would have to send 1 pulse when the line goes high (to switch to input 1) and then 2 when the line goes low (to switch to input2 and then to VGA). Just an idea... might work with some modifications.

I think Xenarc has this abiliti. I read on the forums that it has video2 priority, so when there is signal, it cuts vga or video1 and switches to video2, so all you have to do is plug camera into video2 and power it from your rear light.
