where to buy controller (if) for a 15 inch laptop lcd

So I have this dead Sony Laptop that has a perfect screen but I would need a some sort of controller for it.

Main board is fried on it and I thought I could put it in good use.

I've seen this question a lot. I was once going to try do it. First of all, the controllers are rather rare. Secondly, they're really expensive. You would be better off just buying an LCD monitor.

Trust me, I know that answer sucks, but it's the truth...

Try earthlcd dot com. They may have it custom make for you, but the solution will cost you an arm and a leg, and probably couple more fingers on the other hand too.
