Open the OSD and go to the Monitor settings, I believe it's the second one. There is an info option in this menu, it will display the current resolution and refresh rate.

Exactly... The trick isn't getting the the nvidia card to display custom resolutions (all of the newer ones should do this already) the trick is getting the lilliput's On Screen Display to report the correct resolution 800x480.

Would you please take a few shots of how it looks because even if the lilliput does not display the correct resolution it may look good enough but i would like to see picture if it.

i checked the OSD and it reported 848x480 but 800x480 output looks really good.. i changed the output of the video card to 848x480 and it still looks good.. i really cant tell the difference between the two.. the windows clock looks REALLY sharp on BOTH resolutions but im sure there is some sort of fuzzyness going on in the middle of the screen.. does any one have some sort of TEST images that i can try to display and take photos of?

just take a picture of what you got, take some close ups too. So as i suspected the monitor detects a different reslution. Can you get into the Nvidia utility and screw around with any of the timings or anything. You may want to try downloading Powerstrip and try some of the suggested timing settings.

yes i can change the timings but the increments are very large... like 60, 70, 72, 75, 80hz

i will take pictures later on.

why do u think it is so important to have the Lilliput OSD report 800x480?? rather than 848x480.. ??

if its getting a signal from the gpu that is 800x480 and its displaying it on the full screen.. then what is the problem.??? btw this looks SOOO much better than 800x600 if u r looking for a reason to spend the 33 bux than thats your reason right there!

I would really like to see what it looks like. I have seen pictures of redmage's attempt with powerstip and and a Xenarc, It looks really good.

If the the lilliput thinks that it is getting 848x480 and the real resolution is 800x480 then the lilliput is still stretching width wise 48 pixles so it is not a 1:1 ratio and that is the goal

@Antimatter: I've seen you post for some time about how much you want 800x480. Consider getting a Xenarc?! LOL! I just bought an Nvidia card so I can finally get 800x480 on my Xenarc

I have been considering a Xenarc for a while but i already have 2 Lilliputs and a RCA screen that digitalww was selling.

    I also couldn't justify it

Of course i want the native resolution although i am perfectly fine settling with the onboard card at 800x600. It looks really crisp and clear although it is a bit distorted.

So will you post some pics of your setup so i can see how it looks?
