But that would ruin the fun of research and development
And I am way to deep into the research part now

Another alternative is to buy a USB->LAN adapter and then LAN-WLAN, and of course WLAN at the computer. Hope you don't mean to get the touchscreen entirely wireless, the power would be a problem then

Thanks for the idea, I have looked into a LAN setup, and yeah I am talking about the whole touchscreen wireless. I think I have the power figured out

just be ready to spend the bucks... and video quality will be pretty bad, so as long as you don't want to read small text, have stereo sound, etc - you'll be fine... but a $1000 web pad will whoop your setup anyday... this doesn't even get into the size of what you are making - rechargeable battery packs, video handling, serial connection - what I am seeing will be closer to a cube in shape...

those 900MHz and 2.4GHz video broadcasters are mostly directional, so this means you can only move in a straight line... audio is mono on all but the most expensive units... these video units use the composite video, so text will be difficult to read...

    my two cents...

you could get a serial touchscreen and use a serial--->bluetooth adapter. I think dragonBTV has made one.

eh, every once in a while, threads need to be brought back to life, otherwise, the forum gets boring

i actually have a usb touch screen, and a wireless usb hub-- i am going to need to try this, and see how it works..

---------- Post added at 10:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:30 PM ----------

    wireless is junk..

my iogear wireless hub only works with xp/vista x86. my laptop is x64 win7....

so it either means that i need to run a VM with xp to run the hub, or scrap the project..
