Hey Guys, I am wondering if anyone makes a wireless touchscreen LCD screen?? I have searched and searched and turned up nothing. . . .
If not do all touchscreen LCD's require you to plug them into a USB port for the touchscreen feature to work??
Thanks for any info, I plan on making one if I can't find one but finding the right parts is proving difficult and expensive. . . .

What do you mean? Do you want to have the touchscreen-part wireless or also the screen-part? The touchscreen-part can be made wireless with not too much difficulties. When you use a touchscreen with RS-232, it is pretty easy. There are all sorts of products to make RS-232 wireless, bluetooth for instance. But how to transport your screen-signal wireless... I don't know if that's easy... I'm sure there will be products to do so...
I want a completely wireless (LCD and touchscreen) montior b/t 5"-7"
Well I think I might have found a wireless transmitter and receiver to make the video wireless (mostly used for sending camera signals).
Thanks for the tip on the RS-232, do you have anymore info. on making the touchscreen part wireless?? I want a pretty good range, like being able to go outside the car for instance.
Thanks again,
Justus

I am pretty sure Panasonic do a wireless touchscreen in their toughbook range but it aint cheap. M$ and viewsonic were supposed to be looking ta it too before tablets i think as you can effectively have full PC power in a small device.

Here at my work, we use the Wireless Futures BlueWave. This is hardware which creates a wireless COM-cable (up to 100 mtrs). You can find information on their website: Wireless FuturesOriginally Posted by SpyderJL
I have seen the viewsonic, but not the other two. I like the panisonic but I don't want a screen that large. I want b/t a 5"-7" monitor, and I am pretty set on making my own nowOriginally Posted by Scouse Monkey
