    Laptop + Monitors How can they work together?

    I have a HP Pavillion ZT1130 Laptop and I am using this for my Carputer but my problem is that I want to hook up several other screens via a video splitter so that the output of the Laptop can be displayed on the other screens as well as on the Laptop. My problem is that when I use the S Video output in the back of the Laptop it transmits to the other screens just fine but i lose the signal on the Laptop.

    My question is: Is there any way to override the screen shutting off or is there a USB type device that I can get video output from?

    USB Devices exist, and VGA -> Video exist too.

    But first I would check the driver for the videocard (maybe get the lates or vendor version instead of the OS version)...

    Could you explain what you mean by this? I found the Usb video device but is there a cheaper way?

    @cyrescs,

    I'm using an HP ZT1135 for my carputer. It definately sounds like a driver issue. Make sure you use the twister drivers from http://ranger.s3graphics.com/xplib/380xpdrv/

    And just make sure all your ouput devices are selected on your display properties.
