Of course it will be blurry, because you're seinding a computers video signal, which is designed for a VGA 15-pin DSUB connector to a cheaper composite video input.
And the answer is to either get a VGTA-RCA Composite video adapter, which only works with some video cards (ATI radeon) or use a video card with a TV-out.

You also realize that you will most likely be unable to use the touchscreen to control your carputer, right?

He wont be able to use the touch scren unless he built his own controller then built a serial or usb interface for it.

If its a built-in nav system and it has button down both sides of the screen u could tap into the buttons and use them to control the software u want

I can't imagine just how difficult it will be to use a keyboard/mouse while driving.....

cell phones are enough of a distraction.....i should know....I've nearly been run over on my motorcycle too many times to count by people on their cell phones....INCLUDING COPS AND SEMI DRIVERS!!!!!

It may be more expensive, but if it's a bit safer to replace your screen with a vga touch than using mouse keyboard.....maybe it means you save your car?

little extreme I know, but I just can't imagine how difficult that's going ot be to use.....

You can likely get the video from the PC through the SVideo into the unit, but it won't look much better, if at all.
And unless you want to rip apart your expensive head unit to figure out how to interface teh touchscreen functionality witht he computer, give it up. They aren't compatible.
