    Simple Wiring Question

I have two 7" monitors, non-VGA that I need to power. They each want 12v / 1.2A. I want to wire them directly into a cigarette lighter socket so it will feed both.

Should I put a fuse on the line? I'm assuming so, and if so is it best before or after the split to the monitors, fuse them as one or individually? And well, what size fuses to use, a little higher than load? 1.5A if two, 3A if only one?

    Chris.

First of i wouldn't run your 7" monitors off the cig lighter without some sort of 12v regulator.

It isn't really necesary to put a fuse inline but if it will make you feel better. I would put 1 5a fuse before the split. That should be sufficient
