I wounldn't believe it until he is acutally selling the units, then we can offically not call it vaporware. Until then WirardPC have fun and give your standard response.
I did a quick search and saw nothing about this on the forums. If this is a double-post, mods, please delete.
Okay - here we go, no more vaporware, no more links to wholesale distributors. Armen is importing actual in-dash motorized housings designed specifically for a Lilliput conversion (no word on Xenarc compatibility yet). He has numerous pictures of the guts of the housing as well. This is real folks...

I'm gonna hold off on the standard response for a couple weeks, purely because this is a new situation.
I have the utmost respect for armen, and I know he wouldnt put that up unless he really thought that his suppliers would come through by that date.
Unfortunately, armen's relationship with his suppliers is much like my relationship with my alcoholic father. When my father tells me he's not going to drink anymore, he really means it when he says it. But, two weeks later he's back to his old tricks and I always get disappointed. I finally realized that my father will never stop drinking, so now I don't get as upset when he breaks his promises.
Armen, your suppliers are alkies!

Didn't notice any sign of an actual motor in the pictures ... did I miss something?
Also it appears as if the unit has an open back where you can just look inside at the mounted LCD and controller. Finally, if the screen is going to be moving around, the shouldn't the kit include upgrade flex cables and connectors (not just longer ones)?
I have the feeling you will just be separating the LCD panel from the controller. The longer ribbon cable allows the panel to fit in the housing. The controller will hideaway in the bottom part of the unit. Plus you don't have pictures of the backside of the screen completed and open. That's probably why you don't see pictures of the gears and motors.Originally Posted by rando
