i bet its the green wire aswell, sounds like a protection so that it only opens when the car is stopped (meaning its wired to the handbrake)
So far - 1.1ghz athlon 4 Sharp Laptop, 256mb RAM, 20GB HDD, 32MB on board graphics. CDRW/DVD, 600W Boschmann amp, K301 InDash Screen

Yeah what Ryan said. The green wire is required by manufacturers to be included on all models in order to meet standards to sell the unit. It's a safety precaution, but as Ryan pointed out, it can easily be bypassed by grounding the wire instead of connecting it to the handbrake.

So, what about the Mac OS X driver? Is there one for the touch screen?
    Thanks,

I just recieved my unit today, (from someone other then Armen) and the software package i got includes drivers for:
DOS, WIN 9X/ME, Windows CE.net, iMac OS9.x, Windows NT4.0, Windows 2000/XP, and Linux.

I'll try and have pics of my install up tonight. Just have to connect it too my carputer. I did test the TV and RCA Inputs on the unit, and it performed quite well! Hope the touchscreen is just as good!

Well, i finished my mechanical install...FRODO, and other software next. Thought i'd give everyone a few pics. I know my camera sucks, but i gave my 5 mega pixel camera to my Girlfriend for the weekend.

Not to brag for all of you still waiting on yours...
but it's really a great unit. From touchscreen to TV, everything is really smooth. At first, the touchscreen was really inaccurate, but i did the 20 point calibration, and it fixed it. That's the only problem i've had thus far

I hope everyone else waiting for one get's their's soon! Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply. I would have thought that the guy selling them would care enough to answer, but I guess not if there isn't an OS X driver.

But thanks again. The install looks nice by the way.
    Thanks,

    Joe
