    Question Help with DWW-7VGA

    Hi,

Anyone know the in dash xenarc from Digitalww.com sufficiently well to tell me which wires coming out the back of the actual monitor supply the power ???

Is it two of the white flat wires ???

There is a guide here, but I can't work it out -

    http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_Xenarc-to-Indash_HowTo.htm

    Anybody help ??

    Cheers,

    Matt

I'm fairly (let's say 95%) sure that it's the two wires to the far right of the five-wire bundle that comes into the monitor housing. I did a bunch of detective work while doing my conversion in order to figure that out, but it turned out that my power wire didn't have continuity (and a few other things needed fixing) so I sent it back to Armen, who incidentally has just been FANTASTIC when it comes to customer service. Anyway, the wire with the long blue dashes gets connected toward the outside of the board (to power, IIRC) and the wire all the way on the edge gets connected to ground. You can (kinda sorta) see this if you look VERRRRY closely at the tutorial pictures. I wouldn't take this as gospel truth, though, because I ended up a) using my own wiring since my power wire wasn't working right and b) sending the thing back to Armen to finish the conversion anyway ; thus, I never really got a chance to test the built-in wiring. Hope that helps!

That would make sense, seeing as I have no power in it and they look like they may be broken from being bent.
