Wait a minute, you're 18 w/ a 2005. I officially hate you. When I was 18 (in 1995), I had a ****-brown 1974 Mercury Comet that I had to pay for. I so hate to see lil' kids w/ brand new cars, even if the car is a Hyundai.

OK, I'm done ranting (for now)...

Ok guys, you need to ease up on 0l330 - I think he's learned his lesson.

We're all fellow carputer users here, so let's just all get along.

DashPC - The Linux Car (since 1999).

Dash LCD, Via Epia, GPS, XM, OBDII, DSSC Shutdown Controller.

As seen in the book Geek My Ride

Well, we have new manufacturer that we're working with overseas. Our display is motorized VGA, and it's not a Xenarc/Liliput derivative. It's an entirely new brand. Unlike the Xenarc and Liliputs, it's very high quality.

Every time I post about it here on mp3car though, my posts seem to get deleted.

You can see a picture of it here:
    http://www.dashwerks.com/pictures/dw...orized_lcd.jpg

We'll see how long it is until someone deletes this thread, even though it's on-topic and a direct answer to your question.

Anyway, we'll have product details available over at http://www.dashwerks.com/ soon.

    Kind regards,

we had two months left on the warranty, and i wanted to make good use of it. Plus, the korean automakers do traditionally have a lot of tranny problems, at least in the 90's. so it was replaced free

edit: and that is the last comment im gunna make about that in this thread, and my apologies to elantro for hijacking it

This guy's got the right idea - it's all about DIY. It's the pride involved in saying "I did that. I didn't buy a kit, I didn't pay someone to put it in, *I* did it."

But to that other guy....that is from Earth LCD. And to CB...that LCD was open frame? And did you just take the center console off or did you get another one?

My car has class. The 97s are sometimes mistaken for brand new ones. The SC300s/400s were in production till 2000, but it's still modern looking design makes people think its new.

Fine, I'll set up the race for you guys. But seriously, I'm not sure your 3.0 could beat my truck...
Well, I predict my car will have a repaint by 2015 and have a new transmission (I always wanted a manual).

    I don't have a dog, they smell like ****

And racing a car against a truck ain't fun. You can just roll onto my car What engine does your truck have anyways? Mines a 2JZ-GE with 225hp and no OBDII

seriously tho, 0l33l, your *** would be handed to you in a race with the f150, that is, as long as there are no turns

and 1g turbo dsm would probably ace the lex on just about all aspects

    edit: w00t variable bitrate
Congrats on your variable bitrate... you deserve it

I've never heard that f150s are fast...

I haven't really explored the topend with my car due to me driving it only on surface streets. I did take it to 70 (double the limit) on Santa Monica. Oh, and I went 90 when I got on the freeway once
