That is awesome. I was ready to put my computer back into my truck when it quit working. I can solder so putting a fuse holder on shouldn't be a problem. Is a 1A the consensus on what I should put it there?

I'm not sure of exact numbers, but the power rating of the lilliput is behind it on the back cover. the current = what ever power u read out / 12v
use some fuse that is in the range of whatever result u get above. If you ever have a short again, the fuse will catch it anywayz. Dont go too low in fuse, or else it might be tripping off on u.

Dexy, you are the man! I replaced that diode with a 1 amp mini blade fuse and my monitor is running again. I just wanted to say "Thank You!" to Dexy and everyone else for the suggestions.

    Question oh no. Not me!

    I've got the same problem!

After the recieve of my lilluput I powered it on to test it was working. No problem! Then I took the screen apart (carefully), and began to mount the face plate in the dashboard of my car! Then when I should test it, when it was all done, it wasn't working!?

It had only been powered up this one time!

No action for the screen, no lights from buttons, but the touchpad itself is working (although its black)

Should I just replace the diode/fuse? (im getting someelse to do it for me though), or is there another solution to this ?

I have tried to meassure the Voltage output from the adapter and gives me nothing or an output of 1-2 V ? Hmm. I haven't tried in the car yet because of a broken fuse to the cigar power!

I had to change my lilliput fuse today, and soldering a full size fuse was sooo bulky besides, even if it blew again, how the hell would I start changing that. So this is what I finally used. A mini .5A pcb circuit breaker. Easy to work with and solder(i glued it to plastic case of lilliput, and just extended with wires from the fuse soldering point, and you can just reset it if it trips off.

I replaced that fuse today in my 'dead' lillput, and red light turns on again, and turns green when you power it up, but the lcd does not light up. When it broke it smelled a burning smell...maybe the lcd is burnt you? The screen is almost a year old. Any ideas?

    Quick fix

You are the first person that I have ever written to on this thing and I signed up like a long time ago. You said that you were connecting other things when your screen went out. Was your car off or on when it went out and how long have you had the screen. My quick fix suggestion is to buy a new one and put the old guts in the new case and send it back. Kinda shady but sounds like you’re not interested in spending money. I know i'm not.
