Xenarc touch panel & ribbon cable

People,

I have posted in the wanted forum as well, but i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I require a new touch panel for my xenarc 700tsv, literally only the front panel (NOT screen - the touch panel that sits on top) and the attached ribbon cable.

Where can i get one? Xenarc have yet to reply, and I dont know where else I can get one.

Heres a question:

Can you actually flip the touchpanel over, and use the other side? I assume that u might have to swap the ribbon cable over as well, otherwise it might all be back-to-front or something.

digitalww can ge them for you, also try linITX - chris there is the boy and can get you stuff. (also i might know of some Xenarc spares...)

I have contacted xenarc, but i recon p&p could be expensive to the uk...

i'd give linITX a call/email first to be honest. Chris there is really helpfull. it is likely the one i talking about will be getting sold with the screen and or controller.

i got the ribbon from xenarc for $15 to replace my friend's broken one. I had to call them cause it took them a long time to respond my email.

I think you mean the screen signal cable where as pabs is talking about the 4 wire ribbon cable that comes from the touch overlay itself.

opsss sorry my bad... yes i meant the one for the screen.. but my point is the best way to get in touch with xenarc would be by phone... they connect you right away with tech support and when you order take yr credit card info and thats it.. mine came next day

Xenarc are in USA. I am in England, UK... long phone call, at wrong times of day too

I have emailed, and await a response.
Linitx quoted me £55+delivery.
I thought the prices were $55, which is closer to £25.... hmmm.

Will Xenarc sell me a new micro ribbon cable (data cable for the screen) ? Does it only come in one length ? How long can I get it ?

I am trying to move the main board around so that the buttons can hang over the left (from teh front) with the vga connector downwards. The one in my Xenarc is about an inch too short!

Has anyone actually removed the micro switches from teh board and relocated them without damaging the board ?
