    Exclamation LinITX 7" Monitor

I have just recieved my LinITX 7" monitor.

It is a very nice looking unit apart from the text printed along the top and the buttons are a bit tacky.

The quality of the screen is very good and the touch screen works like a charm.

I have one problem I have is that the TFT doesnt seem to go all the way to the top of the screen there is a 4mm black section at the top. it is as if the TFT inside is not lined up properly.

I have tried the h-pos and v-pos settings but I cant get it to fill the gap.

It fits perfectly allong the sides and bottom and it is the same with 800x600 or 1024x768 and even with the OSD.

I will try and post a picture later

    is this normal? Any ideas?

as for the writing, some solvent might help get that off but test it on the back 1st to see if it wrecks the nice kinky rubber finish. If you have no luck with that try a bit of black matt paint applied very carefully and thinly. Soem of the matt black model paint from the 'games workshop' springs to mind or use some SEM paint sprayed into the lid and brushed on.

as for the black band - strange! Did you give linITX a call?

I looked back at the photos from the LinITX review and their screen didnt seem to suffer from this
