If I compare all your replies and opinions I like Xenarc 800TSV the most. It's bigger than 7", with touchscreen, vga and has better brightness. Just one thing is there I would like to ask. On Xenarc online shop I found this thing:
http://www.xenarcdirect.com/detail.a...ID=UltraBright
Is this integrated in 700/800TSV (in specifications it's written Ultra Hight Brightness...)?
Where should I look around for the best price and I'm from Europe...
Regards!

There are not many people complaning about it, and most people use
that screen (me included)
Are you talking about Xenarc 800TSV? Many people have problems with Lilliput too, but I don't, except that it's hard to see anything if the is sunny day (and the summer is coming), touchscreen and everything else is working great!
i just started road testing my carputer and found that the default brightness setting on an epia m10000 with a lilliput is almost impossible to see in indirect sunlight. All I had to do was go into the advanced monitor settings and decrease brightness a bit and crank up the contrast. Now i can see everything just fine even at around sunset (and I live in Arizona where there's almost never clouds)
This isn't particularly cheap. Brightness is what matters most.Originally Posted by urosbe

My Lilliput is either 280 or 300 depending where you read the specs. I'll be building a shroud since it's practically unusable on a bright day. Much of that looks to be the touch screen.

I cannot really be compared to the xenarc, or lilli, it is a raw panel in a special caseing that is loaded up with backlights. It's about 1400 nits. search allbrite on this forum and you will find all the answers you seek, look in particular for the tread "high brite lcd" that was the origional allbrite thread here and I have one that is not that old called "Dicon questions" that should answer any questions you have on the controllers and where to obtain them.Originally Posted by urosbe

Well, I found the topic (high bright lcd) I can say I read a lot of things that are new for me, but what is with Allbrite company? I found this page:
http://web.archive.org/web/200104080...m/products.htm
I sent email, but I got negative response (Name or service not known), so the company doesn't exist any more?
So, is there anybody selling this lcd - ready to use? I measured in my car - it will fit, but no bigger than 10.4". Is there any alternative with that kind of NITS that is available to buy (with touchscreen and vga input)?
Best regards!
