Reflective Dash Display

Anyone thought of reversing an lcd on the dash and accompllishing something like what ive seen in the past where the output of the screen goes onto the actual windshield

I'm not sure you'd be able to make out the detail well enough. The Chrysler Pacifica, however, reflects the navigation window into the center of the speedometer, where its shadowed from daylight and in your direct view when looking at the gauges.

Also, NiN^_^NiN is working on a basic HUD to display navigation turn arrows on the windshield: New MM Plugin - HUD Display (Planning stage)

when dave sets up centrafuse to pipe gps info to a character lcd display you could hack apart a corvettes HUD and replace the stock internal display with a matrix orbital vfd and you'd have yourself a text hud for directions (and obd-ii data when he gets taht up and running) If you search the general forum for a thread that i started about cool/clever projects there is a link to a modified c5 corvette HUD.
