Video signal for 2x LCD's on xbox?

    Hi everyone.
I'm currently planning to install a xbox in my car, together with 2 7" monitors in the headrests. I'm planning on using the 12v power from the xbox(harddrive) to power the monitors. Using a 300W powerinverter to power the xbox. However, I'm not sure how I'm going to get the AV signal to both monitors at the same time. Haven't seen a xbox-to-2xRCA cable so I guess I need some sort of splitter... Going to use it for games and maybe dvd...thatever the kids want...
    Anyone?

Walmart sells an RCA splitter, for less than $5. You're not going to find an all-in-one-cable. You just need to connect components. Like I said, wal-mart, sells a cheap one.

joshthepilot: i'm guessing that will work, but i'm not sure if that will give me a crap picture or not. Then again, it is a rather inexpensive way. I'll see if i can find it in my local gadget store here in oslo, norway.

Splitting the video signal with just a Y adapter will definitely affect the quality. You wouldn't really notice it with audio but your video would suffer. Radio Shack has an amplified audio/video splitter for $44, catalog number 15-1172. I have one and use it for multi-monitor presentations. It runs off of 9VDC so it can easily be adapted for use in the car. And it gives you two more outputs for future expansion.

EDIT: Oops, missed the Norway reference. Well, I don't think Radio Shack has made it out there but look for something with similar specs.

I split the video to two headrest monitors with a simple Y-splitter and the video looks absolutely no different with one monitor on or both on. I'd try it first before you invest in a splitter/amplifier.

thank you for all your tips, however, i might have the wrong view on this... For quality vga is better than rca, so if i want to have 2x vga out of the xbox...then what do i do? the x2vga will only give 1 vga output...

Well, in that case, TigerDirect sells a VGA splitter cable for $10 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...173&CatId=467). If the picture quality doesn't seem good enough, then a powered/amplified splitter is also available (http://www.cablesnmor.com/monitor-splitter.html).
