Idea for auto on for lilliput

hey all while searching for a way to put my laptop into and out of standby automaticallyi came up with this idea. all the lilli power button does is bridge a connection which turns the screen on so it got me thinkin what in the car would pulse everytime you go in and out and then it hit me

    CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM

everytime you get in your car u press a button on the alarm remote which activates a 12v pulse to open the locks on ur car and when you get out you lock the car again with the remote

so all you would have to do is hook the lilli to constant power then wire a relay up to the cetral locking andto the lilli so that when you press the button to unnlock your doors ikt sends the pulse to the lilli and powers it up. then when you get out the you press the button and it sends another pulse to the lilli to power it down.

this is what im using at the moment on my lappy. brings it out of stand by soon and all ready to go before i even start the car then when i get out it doesnt go bank into hibernate till i lock the doors

coming from the car it would be 12v which is why i said you would needto use a relay adnjust solder a couple wires onto the on switch and then when the relay activates it links that wire turning on the screen.much safer then feeding ANY external voltage to it if u ask me
