Datalux 10.4 Touchscreen issues

Greetings, I have datalux 10.4 touchscreen monitor on windows xp. I cannot get the serial controller to identify. The screen works great ( no dead pixels or brightness issues).

the heck out of this problem. I still do not have a solution.

It seems like at one point, everyone here had issues with their touchscreen not working and attempted to do a variety things. I've personally tried ELO drivers, 3M drivers, changing the baud rates of the (serial) com ports, and have checked bios to see if com ports were enabled. The com port test with hyperterminal seemed to work ok.

So far so good, it seems like I havent missed any of those steps. Right now I am out of solutions and methods of attempt. Any advice would be great.

The 3m UPD drivers (not the default download for that screen) worked for me, but I had to set the baud rate to 4800, and it got wiggy(but at least it moved when i touched the screen!), then back to 9600 and boom it worked.

I also changed some setting about a liftoff packet...not sure if I kept that setting though... it worked great after all that tweaking, but it didnt fit in my dash so i got a xenarc.

The new UPD Driver will work for the following controllers: SC3 Serial, SC4 Serial, SC4 USB. Supported platforms are Win2000/XP/NT/ME/Win9x. DOS and other drivers can be found on the Archived Touch Screen Drivers page.
