5" USB2 CONNECTED!!! LCD with touchscreen and 450cd/m2

    Hey guys, just found this....

5" 450cd/m2 LCD that is hooked up via USB2 - not VGA!!!!!!!

and the touchscreen is via the USB2 as well!

Wonder what it is like - would make an easy headrest install - just run a USB2 cable!!!! or good for tricky dash's that need a small screen!

Resoluton might be an issue but you never know!

I have seen a product similar to this before. I dont remember where but the idea was to use it a secondary display/input for gaming (maps and stuff). My primary concerns are that the resolution is rather low. And im sure that the graphics performace is dependant on the video controller board, not an onboard or agp graphics card, so i wouldnt plan on displaying anything but static images or basic video on these things.

Pro editing equipment; such asAvid dv-express, captures mini-dv via firewire. Usb 2.0 is faster, so i think that you could very well display full framerate video on this.

people also forget that you can easily stream DVD across USB2.

But although USB2 maximum is faster i would still use firewire for sustained transfer - especially in pro stuff. USB and USB2 are just much more useful to your average joe for a number of reasons so it is more popular. Perosnally i like firewire for external drives. And firewire 2 should be fricken cool! (800 not 400)

I suspect it would be cheaper to jsut get some cheap RCA screens for headrest though

jsut htought the USB2 interface was cool - isntant plugin monitor with no hastle of getting another video card. YOu could let the kids watch different films in an SUV!!!!! if you had a fast PC of course!

yeh 320x240 not the best res. but isn't that good enough to watch a film on and play SNES games on? What resolution is TV?

How much is one of these, I can't find a price?

yeah firewire is more stable; we actually just purchased a firewire raid array for our system, now we can play uncompressed video in real time on our avid.

that monitor is really cool, it seems like an easy aux monitor with touchscreen control.
